The two crore signature campaign, initiated by the YSR Congress party recently, demanding the release of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has met with a lot of criticism. The allegation that most of the signatures are fake is the common one. TDP has come down heavily on YSRCP saying the signatures were forged without the real people being interested.
The members of YSRCP have reportedly refuted the allegations. Nellore based YSRCP leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy has reportedly recalled the incident which happened at Viceroy hotel many years ago. Rajamohan reportedly alleged that the signatures of the MLAs supporting Chandrababu to bring down N T Rama Rao were fabricated.
Rajamohan has reportedly maintained that TDP and Babu have no right to criticize YSR Congress and the signature campaign. Whatever the case, the signature controversy is digging out old skeletons.
