Tollywood is showing interest towards period and historical films these days. Even though the making of such films involve a lot of budget and planning the film makers are willing to take that risk. It is reportedly heard that Daggubati Rana has been roped in for the film 'Rani Rudrama Devi 3D'.
Many are curious about what role Rana might be doing in the film. According to sources, Rana will be seen as Gona Ganna Reddy, the most feared and powerful warrior, a close commander to Rani Rudramadevi and also ruled Vaddemani kingdom between 1262-1296 AD.
The film has Anushka in the lead role and would be seen as the warrior queen. Rana's presence in the movie is sure to do a lot of good to the film, with the kind of personality he has. Rana is also doing another period film 'Bahubali', directed by S S Rajamouli.
