Saheb Biwi
aur Gangster is a contemporary take on the 1960's classic Saheb Biwi Aur
Ghulam and released in 2011. It made waves for its bold theme and great
performances from the lead cast Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill and Randeep
Hooda. The film was a critical and commercial success and earned well
deserved praise from all quarters.
It was directed by Timangshu Dhulia who also acted in Gangs of Wasseypur as Ramadhir Singh. After huge success of the first movie, the same team has made a sequel called Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns adding Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan to the original stellar cast. The promo of the film promises to take things a notch higher than the first part. Mugdha Godse performed the item song.
